Remember, Johnny Depp made animator Tim Burton famous with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and other films later?
I still believe in that spirit, but it's overrated and has become a lost cause.

The Batman film series starring Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson, in the 80s is what brought Tim Burton to my attention. Edward Scissorhands was another very popular Tim Burton movie. I only liked his Batman movies and Sleepy Hollow. I thought those were fantastic film adaptations of already established characters. Sleepy Hollow was actually quite brilliant. He basically developed an entire story around a short fable. I don't think Tim Burton is overrated at all. That's my personal opinion. I wouldn't mind if he did tackled a different genre although I have no idea which ones because I really haven't studied his filmology. I basically pick and choose which films I'm interested it. I'm not like a huge fan of his entire work. My interest is casual. Entertainment has always been just a casual experience for me. I should just start speaking directly to these filmmakers and singers. Right? May as well. Otherwise it's just a waste of time. I got off the subject. Yeah, Tim Burton is alright. Why do you feel his stuff is overrated?

I like the feel Tim Burton gave to the field of Animation and CGI etc. It was like opening up and going into a dream, probing the endless abyss of art itself, in the form of film.
